Criteria for being the Focal Person
Should be able to commit time
Should have access to resources for effective functioning
Should have attended orientation meeting of PRHN
Should attend at least two third of the network meetings
Responsibilities of Focal Person
Co-ordinating all activities
Effective communication with all the group members
Convening Local Focal Group meeting and Core Group meetings
Facilitating Focal Group meetings and network related activities
Accountability to Local Focal Group, NWG and Core Group
Create a supportive environment so that its members can improve their practices
Prepare and share minutes of the meetings with the Secretariat, and support Secretariat in organizing activities
Assist members to identify the agenda
Lease with other focal groups
Express learning needs and should also be able to identify appropriate self-education material.
Identify new members
Conduct orientation meeting for new members
Election Procedure for the new Focal Person
Conducted by the Focal Group
Substitution of Focal Person in Event of Absence
Focal Person will nominate somebody from Core Group/Focal Group to be the acting Focal Person in his/her absence
Action in Event of Unsatisfactory Performance by a Focal Person
The Core Group should decide
In the event of a Focal Person not being able to fulfil his/her responsibility, any member of the Focal Group can call a meeting and address the issue |
