The idea behind having a National Working Group was to have people from the Focal Groups who would support the Secretariat in network related activities, such as:

Brain storming

Gathering materials for Major Activities

Writing reports for Major Activities

Liasing with members, for example, the Local Focal Group

Decision making

Planning for activities

Decision on public statements NWG to define parameters

Fund raising

Reviewing performance of Local Focal Group

Reviewing, revising, monitoring & evaluating activity plans of Local Focal Groups.

Reviewing and revising policies for the network

Identifying financial, technical and human resources

Identifying common and specific needs of PRHN members/ Local Focal Group

Identifying joint solutions

Status of NWG Members

Membership to be rotational after every three years

Documentation / Activities

Performance is monitored by other NWG members for:

(i)   Fulfilling responsibilities undertaken for the network
(ii)  Proper delivery of their responsibilities
(iii) Regular attendance of NWG meetings
